Terms of service

Last updated: 29 October 2026

These terms govern your use of SerliShield, provided by SerliShield. By creating an account you agree to them.

The service

We help you find personal information about you on supported sources, guide you through those sources' opt-out processes, submit requests on your behalf where a source permits and you authorise it, and track outcomes. Coverage depends on which sources we support at the time.

No guarantee of removal

Third-party websites decide whether, how and when to act on removal requests, and may republish information later. We do not guarantee that any information will be removed or remain removed.

Your responsibilities

  • Use the service only for information about yourself, or about people who have authorised you and whom your plan covers.
  • Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure.
  • Do not use the service to look up, harass or locate other people.
  • Do not attempt to misuse, overload or circumvent the service's security.

Authorisation to act for you

When you authorise an automated removal request, you permit us to contact that source on your behalf and to share the information needed to identify your listing. We will identify ourselves as acting on your behalf.

Plans and payments

Paid plans are billed in advance for the stated period. Plan limits are shown on the pricing page and in your dashboard. A subscription becomes active only after your payment is confirmed. Unless required by law, payments for a period already started are not refundable; you can stop renewal at any time.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend accounts used in breach of these terms. You may delete your account at any time.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the actions of third-party websites or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms and will notify you of material changes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
